Conflict Minerals
Statement
Offshore Stainless Supplies are committed to ethical sourcing and responsible business practices throughout our supply chain. We do not purchase or process any mined elements directly, as all of the raw material we procure is in alloy form, specifically stainless steel and nickel alloys.

Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act requires manufacturers to identify the source and chain of custody for any "Conflict Minerals" used in their products. These Conflict Minerals, known as “3TG” metals, include:
• Tantalum (Ta)
• Tin (Sn)
• Tungsten (W)
• Gold (Au)
Conflict Minerals are materials sourced from mines in regions where the extraction and trade of minerals are linked to financing armed conflict, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo and surrounding areas.

None of the 3TG metals are used as intentional alloying elements in standard austenitic grades of stainless steel.
Therefore, it is highly unlikely that any of the stainless steel we source or supply contains significant amounts of these Conflict Minerals.

Our suppliers of stainless steel are required to take reasonable steps to ensure that Conflict Minerals are not present in the materials they provide to Offshore Stainless Supplies. As standard stainless steel grades do not intentionally contain any of the 3TG metals, the risk of Conflict Minerals being present in our products is very low.

However, we acknowledge that tiny trace amounts of these elements may be present in the materials we supply. This is because approximately 70% of all stainless steel produced in Europe is derived from recycled scrap. If a portion of this scrap contains minute quantities of 3TG metals, trace levels of these elements could potentially be found in the final product.

We source all of our stainless steel from reputable suppliers located in Western Europe, where strict environmental and ethical standards are upheld. Our suppliers are committed to responsible sourcing and transparency throughout their supply chains. We work closely with them to ensure, as far as is reasonably practical, that Conflict Minerals are not used in any of the materials we purchase.

Offshore Stainless Supplies is dedicated to complying with all applicable regulations regarding Conflict Minerals and will continue to assess our suppliers and materials to ensure ongoing compliance. We are confident that the risk of Conflict Minerals being present in our products is minimal due to the nature of the stainless steel we supply and the rigorous standards we follow.
